DID YOU KNOW?

E-mail

That even if you can't attend this year's Fall Flight Banquet you can still renew your membership/sponsorship.  You get the same benefit as mailling it to Memphis but our local chapter also gets credit.  It might not sound like a big deal but the more memberships the chapter turns in the more incentives we can earn.   We use these "free" incentive items to raise more money at our banquet!!!  Guns are common incentive items, and guns raise a lot of cash for us.  If you can't attend this year please renew your membership/sponsorship via our event.  You can give me a call or shoot me an email if you would like to helpout by renewing your membership/sponsorship!  Thanks, Chris.  423.309.7344, This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. October 1st is almost here!  If you haven't purchased your ticket to the event, it's time.  We have a lot of great items for you guys this year.  There will be more guns than I can ever remember, 2 DU gun safes, several great trips and a BUNCH of hunting gear.  Not to mention we are going to have great entertainment from The Possum Hunters Bluegrass Band and guest Speaker Charles Petty, RNT Prostaffer.  We also have a mouth watering menu that Bertin of New Orleans has put together for us.  Don't forget to bring your wives or girlfriends this year since we are going to have a special women's raffle table loaded with great prizes  We are preparing to have one of the most entertaining banquets ever!!!

NEW BLOOD!

E-mail

I would like to encourage anyone and everyone to call Chris Sanders, myself or Bob Foster if you are interested in volunteering for the top/leading DU chapter in the state! Our Chapter has done very well over the past couple of years, raising money for the ducks, to help conserve and restore our wetlands of North America, and but this task is impossible without volunteers such as yourself. Weither you can get out there and sell tickets, or just help us in otherways from a distance, every little contribution helps. Please consider this as an opportunity to give a'litte back.Sign up now and get involved just in time for our Annual Fall Dinner Banquet. The committee is a great group of men and women who are all invloved for their own reason but all have a common goal! For myself, I volunteer my time and efforts to secure the future of waterfowl, so that my four year old son can some day enjoy the same hunting experiences I have enjoyed.

Please ........Join now!

Thank you,

Cameron

How was your early goose/dove opener?

E-mail

We got goose egged on geese but had a decent dove hunt.  It appears that if you don't have access to a field for geese this year it will be a slow early season!  Hopefully you guys have some fields to hunt.  Hunted the Hiawassee Refuge Tuesday and had a good shoot.  Its open at the refuge on Saturday, got to have steel shot though.  I was able to find steel 7 shot dove loads at Wal-Mart for $6 a box!  Good luck!
